Melroy: Well, more—"Intermedia" came out of the 60s Fluxus movement, specifically Dick Higgins, talking about the undefined places between two things. And so that there is no genre attached to the one specific thing. This is when you make a video sculpture, it’s not a video of sculpture, it’s not a sculpture made out of videos; it’s video sculpture, it is its own entity, inside of what it’s doing. So we’re not just blending; we’re not just merging two things, it’s literally creating a brand new middle. A squished messy hard to define, wonderful gesture.
